The Statement Poster

THE STATEMENT: GRAVITY
For this assignment, we were asked to create a composition with a 5 word statement starting with I am, You are, We are, or They are. The topic would them stem from our own individual statements. My statement was the following: We are earthly prisoners held by gravity. We were also asked to pair the statement with a related body of text. The poster is 18x24 and was printed on a roll printer.

The road to the final design shown above was long and my professor purposely gave us a lot of time to experiment and find our voice, which honed and developed my individual design process. I specifically wanted to play with the word "gravity" and make that somehow come to life on this poster.
