Coffee Table Book Design
The Infinite Garage
Project Overview
While enjoying the Import Face-Off drag race and car show at the Gainesville Raceway, I captured many of my favorite vintage cars on my trusty DSLR. I wanted to utilize these photos in a project that could also showcase my typography skills. I imagine this book being large and heavy filled with cars that make my old soul smile. I included text about the experience riding the car, acting as a user review experience.

Research & Process
I created a mood board to find the book's style, and researched other coffee table books as well as observed the ones I own. I also began to edit my own photos to see what I had to work with.

PROBLEM
During my research, I found many of the books about cars were targeted towards men, or just very serious. As a woman automobile enthusiast, I found this unacceptable so decided I could design one myself.

SOLUTION
I set out to create an artsy, bold book to highlight retro cars without being gender-specific. I also limited myself to only use car photos I captured.
