Jessica O. Martinez is currently a fourth-year student at the University of Florida (UF) and will be receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts after graduating from the Graphic Design Program in 2021. She demonstrates proficiency in the Adobe Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe XD, After Effects, and Premiere Pro as well as experience Figma. She works at UF as a Student Design and Multimedia Assistant in the Career Connections Center as well as for a start-up app based in Miami, FL named Plei. Her goal after graduation is to work as a product designer, illustrator, or in motion graphics.

Before continuing her studies at UF, Jessica was a student at the Florida International University (FIU) where she received an Associate Degree in Fine Art. She was a Student Graphic Designer for the Campus Life Marketing Office where she created original publications to advertise student events. She was a nominee for the Student Employee of the Year award at FIU while also being a 6-time consecutive Dean’s List member.

Over the summer of 2019 at UF, Jessica interned at NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises after a competitive application process. She worked with the off-air graphics team to develop original artworks for upcoming TV series as well as organizing station artwork.

Jessica grew up in Miami, Florida and is open to moving elsewhere to further her career. She is a self-starter who taught herself Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator before taking design classes. She also enjoys playing the ukulele, black & white film photography, and likes to take on personal art projects, including design favors for her family and friends.
